The Hawking team comprises healthcare specialists and former fintech experts and is a part of the Yes We Can Healthcare Group.

The organisation is led by Johan Linssen (COO, Yes We Can Healthcare Group) and Kees Haverkamp (CTO, Hawking). Hawking's core team consists of highly experienced tech specialists based in the Netherlands and the United Kingdom, including architects, software developers, operations managers, and business analysts. Many of them have previous experience working with organisations like ABN AMRO, Aegon, Blackstone, and other entities in the banking and insurance sectors. Additionally, Hawking receives support from over 500 colleagues within the Yes We Can Healthcare Group, including healthcare professionals, healthcare administrators, financial specialists, and more. These individuals also contribute to the development and testing of the software.

Johan Linssen has been the Group COO of Yes We Can Healthcare Group since 2020. Motivated by the Yes We Can Clinics philosophy of 'Everything for the fellow and family' to provide exceptional care, and his previous experiences in Africa in making decisions based on large amounts of data that directly impact lives, he has co-founded Hawking with colleagues Jan Willem Poot, Marcel Pierre, and Kees Haverkamp. They did this to equip Yes We Can Clinics with the most innovative data-driven software and to share it with other organisations in the EU and the United Kingdom. Johan has a background with the European Commission, Capgemini, and Berenschot.

After developing innovative applications in the financial sector for 15 years, Kees Haverkamp transitioned to Yes We Can Healthcare Group in 2021 and co-founded Hawking with the board of the Yes We Can Healthcare Group. Driven by the dynamic energy within the organisation, he now focuses on improving healthcare with modern, data-based technologies. The combination of Yes We Can Healthcare Group and Hawking provides the ideal setting to realise this ambition. It is a dream come true for him to be able to design state-of-the-art technological solutions in such a collegially driven organisation, all with a first-class development team by his side.
